A massive earthquake of 8.9 magnitude attacked Japan at 2.40pm this afternoon.. I didn't know till my friend called me up this evening, first thing I came to my mind was whether any of my friends went to that part in Japan. It was sort of terrifying when news of tsunami came after the earthquake. Whenever the word Tsunami is heard, it reminds me of the one in Penang and Indonesia.
First Christchurch, New Zealand and now Japan. Hawaii also had a quake of magnitude 4.1 this afternoon too. We are advised to stay away from certain parts especially coastal areas, islands... gosh.. pray for those affected... pray for safety... protection...

ReplyDeletemy colleagues were all talking about this news when i came out from the meeting ytday.. because we have another colleague who just went over to Tokyo for business trip, and he was stranded there because there's not transportation operating and airport was closed, which he's actually supposed to fly back today.. oh, i wish everyone's well..
ReplyDeletesooner or later u'll hear people starting to comment about the end of the world... 2012... yada yada. i find it pretty annoying that whenever a natural disaster struck, that's what people will be talking about. no offense, but it's a natural disaster, why relate it to the end of the world when no one is commenting about the rising temperature and the war or the unrest in certain cities. wasn't it man themselves who caused the end of the world?
ReplyDeleteon another note, i wish the Japanese well.
