Say It With Fresh Flowers!

I am in a "flowery mode'" tonight, yes, I am going to talk about flowers and something related to it.  In my ten years of marriage, I have only received flowers twice from my husband.  The first bouquet of flowers from him is during our wedding day.... and the second time I received another bouquet was the time after I delivered our first baby son in the hospital.  Yes, these are the only two times I received flowers throughout our ten years of marriage!  :)

Ever since his demise which was more than 16 years ago, I lost count of how many bouquets of flowers I have received.  LOL... Yes, I am not kidding, it is quite humorous actually.  Oh,  do not misunderstand, the flowers I received do not imply that I have a special lover or a number of boyfriends.  Flowers can be expressed and given as a gift by anyone, be it our own family members, our children, our best friends, colleagues... anyone, not necessary a special boyfriend or lover.

Do you agree when I say not all of us can express ourselves with words? Many of us cannot express our feelings face-to-face, right? So what other better solution than revealing our emotions with flowers? Yes, fresh flowers is a lovely choice to give to our love ones..  That is why the phrase, ‘say it with flowers’ is apt for one reason,  they help to express someone’s love for another person in such a way that whoever’s receiving them is usually overcome with joy.

Special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements, valentine's, baby showers', Mother's day etc, all these moments are an opportune time for us to express love and celebration with one another.

Some of the bouquets I received...
Bouquet made of dark chocolates for my birthday!
I love this red roses, special ordered online by my friend from Singapore...
Indeed a very memorable occasion...
Mother's Day!

I received not one but two bouquets!
How blessed I am......

Flowers are for all occasions, right?

There is no special gender to receive flowers,
They can be given to men or ladies alike...
Mother's Day is coming in another month or so...
I wouldn't mind receiving another bouquet like the above...
Or perhaps I could send one to my own MOM!
She loves fresh flowers too!!

  3. Eh you receive more flowers than me leh.. I never received or hold any flowers since my wedding in 2009.. The other day I was joking with my female colleagues saying next year maybe I should buy my own bouquet of flowers and send it back to myself to the office without the sender's name *cheeky*

  12. I think my sister has sent me more flowers than my husband, honestly. Surprise flowers are the best. She sent me some one time after a hard week, and they came as a complete surprise that made me cry. I think that those are the most meaningful- the ones that aren't sent because of an occasion or because it's the "thing" to do- but flowers sent just because someone is thinking about you. Of course, a chocolate bouquet could be sent any time and I'd be ok with that! :)
