Hope coming back to Ipoh will be as smooth too!
My first meal after touching down KL....
Met up with Madam Kwan for the first time...
Must "acknowledge" the Madam Kwan before entering... right?
hahahaha....
While waiting for the food...
Madam Kwan's special Nasi Lemak...
Fragrant to the fullest....
And Rojak as desserts...
A satisfying meal....
To burn our calories, we lingered in 1Utama for some time...
My girl is most happy to do that!
Haiyo, another one in 1U at lunch time. Too bad we did not make plans to meet up..
ReplyDeleteYou were there? I wouldnt have recognise you....
DeleteI went there after 3 PM though, trying to hunt for bargains in Cold Storage..
DeleteI've read mixed reviews about the place - one very bad one about the outlet in Mid Valley. Always thought it is a HongKong franchise, with a name like that. A friend of mine likes it, said it'ssome kind of nyonya food place. Will try next time I go to KL.
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on individual taste...
DeleteThe chicken all looks so mouth watering!
ReplyDeleteThey tasted very nice cos I was too hungry... Lol...
DeleteNice time to be in KL. ...should be very quiet.
ReplyDeleteNot in shopping malls....
DeleteI only ate Madam Kwan once before.. And my first meal was the Nasi Bojari.. Not cheap.. But nice..
ReplyDeleteYes ..now i remember the name...hahaaaa..
DeleteLuckily you did not come to Penang, its bloody jam here :/
ReplyDeleteI know it will.... :)
DeleteThere's a Madam Kwan here, but i have yet to try...
ReplyDeleteShould be very much
DeleteIt has been a long time since I ate at Madam Kwan. Their most famous dish is the nasi bojari. Are you sure it is briyani and not bojari in your photo?
ReplyDeleteI believe it is bojari and not briyani that you ate. The fried chicken rice meal is exactly the same as the nasi bojari I ate last time.
DeleteBut i thought it is briyani rice? Is it the one with the fried chicken?
DeleteThe name of the dish with fried chicken is nasi bojari. I am not sure whether the rice is cooked in a way that it could be called briyani.
DeleteIn the menu, for nasi bojari the rice is just described as tri coloured rice.
DeleteThis is a new Madam Kwan outlet. Previously one utama does not have one. Very nice photo with your daughter!
ReplyDeleteSo this is a new outlet? I only heard of this place and never been there till yesterday.... :)
DeleteOops! Not so new. Opened since nov 2012. New as in the youngest of their other outlets. :)
DeleteAll the food looks mouth watering. Not only your girl is happy but all of you. Can tell from the last pic.
ReplyDeleteWhere there is food, there will be joy! :)
DeleteLooks like very nice food! I went to Madam Kwan's at The Curve long time ago. The food is OK lah. I must try the nasi lemak if I go there again.
ReplyDeleteI always eat Nasi Bojari if go Madam Kwan's :-)
ReplyDeleteTheir fish head curry also nice :-)
ReplyDeleteI never try Mdm Kwan's before, the curry looks yummy.
