Mixed Combination Mangosteen And Avocado

These are mine!!
All of them four packets!
Fresh from the farm...
Mangosteens!!

One of my office mates owns a farm and she brings a lot of mangosteens to the office.  But of course, they are not free of charge... hahahaa... They are for sale!  Initially one packet cost RM10... "HUH?  So expensive?  No, too expensive la"  I told her...  hahahaha.. Then later in the afternoon she reduced to RM5 per packet.... but I was hesitating, still expensive for that price per packet.  I sound like very stingy... hahaha...

Then the next few days she brought some more packets and told me... "Nice ones.. RM4 per packet... "  Ok, ok... I bought a packet and tried them.... ooooh... sweet!  Very small but very juicy... !

This afternoon she brought another 4 packets for me... I looked at her smiling and asked... "How much today?"  And I bought all of them because they cost only RM3 per packet!  hahahaha... Prices change every now and then like stock market!  hahahaa..
They are quite small in sizes... but do not judge them by their looks...
As long as they are fresh and sweet, these are worth buying at RM3 per packet!
LOL...
I took more than 10 fruits already!
 My very light lunch....
Avocado, mangosteens and some agar-agar...
What a weird combination!
By the way, I wonder how much the mangosteens will cost tomorrow....
After my promotion here, it might go up to RM5....
hahahaa...

  6. I love mangosteens! The small ones are better, juicy and no seeds. Wah you terror in bargaining huh? Until jatuh harga hah...hah...best lah 4 packets of mangosteens to be enjoyed. I also like avocado but I don't eat plain like that. Mash with eggs or bake with eggs. Or better still make avocado smoothie with chocolate sauce. Syurga!

  14. Oh I love mangosteens. It is v expensive here (SFO). Avocado - you have to eat it when it it ripen (a bit soft). and can make california rolls. Check out recipes online. Avocado is packed with nutrients. http://www.californiaavocado.com/nutrition/ ..more than durians :)

  16. Well I have to say that the purple bags are very pretty, too. Maybe that was why the price was so high!! We do not have any fruits that look like this, wish I could taste!

  19. No durians to go with mangosteen ?

    ReplyDelete
  20. One positive thing about mangosteen almost 99% of them are sweet and chances of it getting bad ones are pretty low. Unlike durians there are so many 'brands' & types can get 'sung fun shu', rotten ones, not sweet etc.

  22. Claire, the mangosteen looks nice and I didn't know you cannot eat lots at one time. I didn't eat this fruit for quite some time. I hate the liquid that will stain the clothes.
