Ampang Yong Tau Foo In SS2 Petaling Jaya

The next morning before we departed for Ipoh, we had our brunch here in SS2 Petaling Jaya.  My first time coming by here, everything seems to be first time for me!  First time or not, I like the choice of food here and I don't mind coming again the next time.
I crossed over to the other side so that this picture can be taken.....
Otherwise the rest is history... I won't be able to remember the name...
well....that shows how "veteran" I am...
We were the early birds on that day....
No crowd means faster service...
So.. what is good here??
The Chee Cheong Fun came out fresh and warm...
I like it.. small portion... and just nice for me.. .

What comes next are these mixed varieties...
How much can one take... hmmmm....
There are only 6 of us.. so one for each....
 Another mouth watering variety...
I think I stuffed in a lot of these...
That explains my expanded waistline!
Last and not least...
Assam Fish Kembong...
Very appetizing!
They did it like the way my mom used to do!
Squeeze in the limes and imagine the taste.....
Yummmmss!

Not sure how much this meal cost...
I really have to Thank my dear ones for taking me here...
This long weekend trip is really worth going ...
Even though I "missed" my flight to Singapore, I have no regrets...
All well ends well... in my stomach!
LOL...

  3. I don't know about this "branch", but the original one in Ampang, me no likey, the size keep shrinking and the price keep increasing, even if it is just 5 minutes drive from my home, I never go back since 3 or 4 years ago... at least the chilli in your photo looks properly stuffed.

  5. I often go to this road in ss2 too but never notice this shop. Nowadays I find the yong tofu fish/meat paste stuffings to be not that nice (more fats in them). Will try this the next time I am in ss2 if they are open.

    1. More fats or oily? I thought fish paste only? hmmmm.. next time you try... then let us know what you think... :)

    2. Some use not only fish paste but minced it with pork meat and pork fats. Some mix the fish paste with too much flour or whatnots until it does not taste like fish paste anymore.

  8. What a feast over the long weekends. You can really go for food hunting. All looks so nice especially the assam fish kembong. That dish alone is enough for me to finish my whole plate of rice in a jiffy.
