The hotel rates have increased no doubt... but thankfully, it is still less than RM200 for me, I can still afford a night or two.. anything more than that, we have to stay somewhere cheaper... :) I have been staying in this hotel for more than a decade now, it has changed its name a few times, it does not matter to me, the rooms are still the same... but the reception is definitely different..
We were staying on the 14th floor that day....
Center view from the room....
Right view.... towards the sea...
Left view....all land.....
We prefer the King size bed than two singles....
We manage to squeeze up in one bed.. hahaha...
Happiest when he saw his favourite!
But too bad... none of us is taking him to KL to watch....
Next morning breakfast buffet.... my appetizer....
Just couldn't eat much of anything.....
But he certainly can...
A double portion of everything he took...!
This is what I called Generation Gap!
Hahahaa...
You can try some other smaller hotels or motels la, cheaper and sometimes, even nicer (if you don't use the facilities like swimming pool or gym)
ReplyDeletePlease recommend ... Any suggestions?
DeleteMust KIV this place... Who knows? I may hop over to Penang one day. ;)
ReplyDeleteFor you, it will be cheaper... Ex teacher ma.... Hahahhaa...
DeleteYour nephew sure has good appetite, still growing. Small eater is always on the losing side. Like the King size bed.
ReplyDeleteGrowinfg age sure can eat but I cannot.... Those were the days when I could eat a lot....
DeleteDon't bluff la, you cannot eat much? Did the Kucing family broke you down too comprehensively? :D
ReplyDeleteOmg WWE, I haven't watched that show in ages! For me, that fake fighting show is for school kids, because they can only cheat school kids level into thinking it is real!
I used to book B-suite for friends, my company badge can get 10% discount plus upgrade to bigger room, but that privilege ended last year. Let me check what hotels that I can get corporate rate nowadays :D
No bluffing la...wait till you reach my age then you will understand...:). Waiting for yiur corporate rates... See can get nice and cheap or not... Hahaha...
DeleteI stayed in B-suite once. Room is just too big for 3 of us that it seems rather eerie. Wow, your hotel room has a very good view. Growing kid of course must eat a lot. You did not eat much for breakfast because you are saving up to attack Penang street food, right?
ReplyDeleteMun, I guess you can understand me pretty well... Small stomach so must save space for other stuff....b-suite eerie? Why? Too big?
DeleteYes, too big so there was just too much empty spaces in the room even when there were 3 of us staying in just one room.
DeleteCos it is supposed to be a suite.. that is why it is big.. can fit 10 people especially youngsters where they can budget if they don't mind sleeping on the floor.. :)
DeleteLess than RM200? Wow. Room looks spacious some more.
ReplyDeleteYeah..nit too bad for this rate...
DeleteVERY nice views from the hotel! But my favorite view is you and your girl! So close and loving!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginny!!
DeleteYes. Nice window view. I also prefer king size or super king bed when stay in hotel. 4 of us can squeeze into it. But next time we will need extra bed if Jamie is tagging along. ^^
ReplyDeleteAs the kids grow, we will need extra bed definitely....
DeleteTarn sai kai! Very nice window view.. I also prefer one-bedded or super king size when we go stay in a hotel as a family la.. But if company trip sharing with colleague cannot la, hehe.. Oohh breakfast also usually I can't eat so much.. Won't go for the salad, will be attacking the sausage+hash brown+cold ham and cheese kua, hehe..
ReplyDeleteYeah la...going with colleagues sure different bed but alos good if can sleep together,,, hahhaha...
DeleteNice view from the hotel...
ReplyDeleteWanna bookmark it? Hahahhaaa...
DeleteThis Royal Hotel has changed hands several times from originally Merlin to Sheraton and dunno what else. I agree that their location is nice. You can try City Bayview Hotel as sometimes you also get the seaview under RM200 and location is good too. Their breakfast buffet is really good and makes a fussy food blogger like you happy!
