While waiting for the food....
.... the cameras or should I say, the handphones?
They started to click here and there....
Didn't have time to chat much...
The food came out fast cos I ordered them beforehand...
Assam curry fish...
Big portion but my camera didn't give much credit..
This one tastes much better.... petai (stingy beans) with squids....
Kerabu mango..... with.....
Sambal dried prawns and cucmbers....
This is not rojak.... thought it looks like one....
It is called Chicken Rojak....
Something different... good choice...
Beancurd with mixed vegetables...
Sprouts with garlic....
Buttered crayfish....
Seven dishes... and the total bill came to RM270 for the 11 of us....
Well, I wouldn't say it is cheap... but then...
After the petrol increase, what is cheap...
Please tell me.. :)
About Rm25 for a person is considered ok. So many dishes though the sambal dried prawns alone can make people eat many bowls of rice.
ReplyDeleteTrue true.. but I cannot take more than half a rice bowl.. :)
Deleteaiyoh, this round all the photos also yellowish dei.. but then still makes me drooling lor, hahaha!! especially the assam curry fish, wah, i don't need to fish but with just the gravy and tofu pok, i can wallop two bowls of rice i guess!! the rojak chicken, the beancurd, the veggie and the crayfish all so so so yummy.. only thing i won't touch are the lady fingers and the petai~~
ReplyDeletePetai is good ah... wash our kidneys.. and if you smell petai in the toilet, you know that it is working very well on the kidneys.. hahaha..
DeleteDon't worry, I can still see how big the assam curry fish portion is, use the taupok size to compare ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat is cheap? Jib: "Jangan bimbang, angin masih percuma di stesen minyak"
HAHAHAHA... yes, yes... angin or air that we breathe also is free! apalah!
DeleteNever been to this place but rumours that it was opened by my varsity course mate. Is the owner goes by the name , 'Yeong' ?
ReplyDeleteOh, dont know leh... next time I will ask the owner.. I saw him.. around 40s.. so can mention your name or not?
DeleteBut you had crayfish...and squids and curry fish. For 11, I think that pricing is pretty ok. Chicken rojak sounds interesting. Is this in Ipoh? Something like that place you took me to for lunch - Sin Hup Kee Restaurant along Jalan Leong Sin Nam...or maybe, a bit nicer.
ReplyDeleteYes, in Ipoh... wahhh... you can remember very well.. name and street also you know... teacher is always a teacher... .
DeleteAssam House.. Belum baca post I automatically already feel hoi wai.. Lau sai hau sui liao.. And true enuff I see assam fish in the first picture..I like everything you ordered except that petai and kerabu.. hehe.. Others, lai lai, I can finish all myself, especially that butter crayfish..
ReplyDeleteI think many of us dont like petai hor? But I do wor... Like it lots ... can even eat raw! :)
DeleteThere are a lot of you there, all family? And maybe tour girl's friend? Looks like they are taking a selfie.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes.. young girls like selfie or theirfie... hahaha..
DeleteAwesome dinner. Nothing comes cheap these days. Need to pamper ourselves once a while.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes... what to do... but next year onwards, we must see what we spend...
DeleteWah....I really like all those dishes! Chicken Rojak sounds interesting. Never heard of it before but it looks good!
ReplyDeleteFirst time for me too... macam macam ada nowadays...
