St Giles The Gardens At Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur

My girl and I went to the wrong hotel in Mid Valley... Instead of St Giles at The Gardens, we entered the Boulevard St Giles instead...both having the same name but different locations altogether.... yes, we were kind of "jakuns?"  My son had not arrived yet, he came up from JB whereas we took a bus down from Ipoh... so both of us were kind of waiting at the wrong lobby!

Anyway, all were made right when I approached the check in counter and made an enquiry... and he told us that it was not the same.. though by the same management but different hotel altogether...the staff there was so kind and friendly, he even "offered" us a bell boy to take all our luggage and led us to the right hotel at The Gardens.  So nice of the bell boy too, leading us all the way through the Mid Valley shopping mall with our luggage all in the trolley... Well, "sik joe la" after that....  hahahaa...

My son was caught in the jam and he came thirty minutes after we did... it was lunch time, what else to expect in the city center?
And finally.... our hotel room!
The welcoming beds....
And the vast restroom....
Then we proceed to Madam Kwan for our late lunch...
It was almost 4pm then!!
Both of us could finished them all.... !
As for dinner at 9pm, we had a "Lighter Meal" at Nyonya Colors...
And we called it a night after that...

  1. Very late lunch but a delightful one. Used to stay in the hotel next to Mid-Valley twice. Convenient and near to shopping mall.

  2. Nice nyonya dishes. Eyeing at that bowl of ais kacang. I can gulp down the whole bowl especially during this hot weather.

You went to the 4-star one, instead of the 5-star that you booked?

  5. Your hotel room is so nice. I did not even know that the hotel at Gardens is called St Giles. Why only two of you ate at Madam Kwan. Your daughter did not eat with you and your son?

  10. I never knew there's a hotel, or two hotels at The Gardens. Always thought there's only the Cititel there!

Hahaha, if you mm sik joe, then I think the bell boy would cart your luggage back to where he came from! XD

  14. Whenever my foreign guests asked me to recommend a hotel, I would always tell them Mid Valley!!
That ideal location is most central with choice of hotels and quick exit to airport.
