Johor Fish Ball Noodles At Lai Kee, Tun Aminah, Johor

I CAME HERE AGAIN!   The last visit to this shop Lai Kee was in early August when I came to Johor with my girl.  And now one month plus later, we were here again to have our "fix" on the crispy beancurd skin with fish paste.  Correction, I am the one who suggested coming, my girl does not like this so much, she said too "lardy" for her.  LOL...

Indeed the noodles have crispy "lard" served, either in soupy form or dry version.  That is why I like it!  Unhealthy food are always tastier... I really don't know why!  Anyway, lardy or not, this is just once in a monthly affair, I just have to do more stretching and sweating after a meal from Lai Kee.  LOL...

As usual the shop was crowded with people... 
25 minutes to get our food served... 
To while away the time, we indulged in these 'tasty and not-so-healthy' food... 
A giant curry puff that has bloated fillings such as potatoes and a quarter egg inside... 
And three layers cake consisting of yam, sweet potato and "neen koe"
Unfortunately, it is my favourite.. however I refrained from taking one whole piece.. 
And these were served after some minutes... 
For sidekicks, these are the MUST orders... 
The dry version noodles... the lard hidden beneath...
This comes with the bowl of noodles.. standard form of serving... 
And our complete orders which came to around RM30 plus with drinks.... 
August, September... and perhaps one more visit in October?  
Hopefully.. yes! 
LOL..

    I agree! The more unhealthy a food is, the better it tastes!! Yum, the noodle dish looks so good!

    It is 12.30pm and you better believe me that your foodie photos make me drool like a hungry pig. I love everything esp the fat curry puffs and 3 layered 'Nian Gao'. Now I am happy cos I can easily get 3 pieces of fried Nian Gao for RM5 at One-Utama!

    I found a place here with very nice fish balls - ikan tenggiri no less, simply the best...but they do not seem very good at making them round like balls. Post on it in my blog tomorrow.

    I don't like lardy food too. I will not eat noodles just to eat one whole piece of yam nien gao.
