Oh, oh, I thought she was kidding when she wanted to go there this morning... just the two of us who have never drove outside our residential area before. All we know is that City Square is in the Johor city and how to go there, we have to rely on our gadget, Waze and nothing else. And so.. she dares.. and I have to go along with the "dare"...
Before we started off, I have to doubly confirm with her.. make sure her phone has battery, mine has only 20% left cos I did not expect to go to the city this morning. And off we set out... with the nice steady voice of the lady directing us all the way to the city where it is known as the "Cowboy town" those days. Really.. why cowboy, I wonder....
Yes, we reached City Square without any hassle, thank God.. smooth drive all the way, no, I was not the driver, only the navigator... She is the "darer" one... actually come to think of the drive now, it is quite easy, all the way straight to the city and back, but with the Voice, we are more confident.
Disney products are on promotion at the lobby...
No, we did not shop first..
Our stomachs were "growling" for Food.. and it was almost 11.30am!
We went looking for Go Noodles shop at Level 6
BUT
It is only opening on the 9 September!
Someone received wrong info, for sure....
We chose Din Tai Fung instead...
We don't have that in Ipoh...
I told my girl.. No sharing this time...
Each of us must have one main meal....
This time we must try their famous Fried Rice with Shrimps... RM21.70
Indeed there are lots of them hidden inside... more than 10 shrimps, I think...
I looked at the table next to us..
Theirs are evenly shaped.. ours are out of shape... LOL...
She ordered a bowl of Lai Meen with vegetables n meat dumplings.... RM20.60
Huge portions actually....
But we managed to finish them all....
Oh yeah.. we must have some desserts after our meal....
Sesame Peanut Balls for RM9.50...
Yes, we shared this equally too...
Cos we love them!!
ahhhh... That is definitely One Heavy Meal...
Will definitely last us till dinner...
So what's for dinner?
Guess.... it starts with B...
LOL...
Oh! The Taiwanese franchise. Darn expensive!
ReplyDeletehahahaa... I know you are going to say that...

DeleteGosh! Your fried rice with prawns was good. Any time for me. And sesame peanut balls sounds good but not sure I can finish after that big plate of fried rice. ^^
ReplyDeleteDesserts can.. anytime for me! :)
DeleteFood looks great but pricey. Nevermind once in awhile have to pamper ourselves.
ReplyDeleteYeah, always tell ourselves once awhile.. hahaaa
DeleteWow! you ladies are sure adventurous! The prawns look so delicious!
ReplyDeleteFull of prawns I would say...
Deletehah..hah.. memang your fried rice was out of shape! There is a Din Tai Fung at 1-U and I find the taste of the food is quite mild for me. I like my food more jazzy if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteYes, with my spicy hot dishes... hahahaa.. for me, I like less oil.. less flavours..
DeleteI am interested in the dessert. Looks good!
ReplyDeleteSuper pricey for those 3! hahahaa
DeleteIt does look delicious! And very large portions for sure. We love WAZE, and I use it all the time! A fun trip!! Sometimes it takes our kids to get us to have adventure.
ReplyDeleteYes, now we just have to sit back.. and look-out!!
DeleteYes, Din Tai Fung serves huge portions. We love their xiao loong bao n pork chop ramen in soup. Their fried rice is also most 😋. Must try your girl's ramen wth dumplings. Looks so 😋
ReplyDeleteFor us ladies, we can share out the food... Indeed big portions but if first meal of the day, then can finish.. :)
DeleteThis famous restaurant serves very good dishes and I love them all. I have not seen this new Sesame Peanut balls.
