Steamboat At Good Family, Bukit Indah, Johor

COME SUNDAY NIGHT, we went for steamboat.... That was my suggestion to go for something less oily and a not-too-heavy dinner.  My son took us to a shop I had never been before, it is called Good Family at Jalan Indah 10/1.  The name is nice and indeed most of the tables were occupied by families with kids.  We can opt to sit outside in the cool natural air or the unnatural cooler air inside.. naturally, we opted for the unnatural one... LOL...
We requested for half clear soup and tomyam soup in the pot...
Wrong choice... we should have ordered just the clear soup...
The Tomyam was too Super Duper Spicy for the three us!
On top of that, the soup was charged separately.. RM12...
We ordered the Small Portion Steamboat... RM40
Consisted of these...
And these... meant for 2 persons....
Steamboat must go with these condiments...
We thought the food was not enough for the 3 of us...
So we ordered extra two bowls of rice...
And a plate of crispy fried boneless Sardine fish...
I took two of them... and can still go for more... LOL...
With fruit juice drinks, the bill came to a whooping RM80 plus..
I guess it is a bit too steep...
Well, next time we know what to order and what's not...
LOL...

  3. I prefer clear soup to tom yum for the steamboat. The fried boneless sardine fish looks good.

  5. I would love the crispy boneless fish. I prefer steamboat buffet style so that I can choose whatever I want.

  6. Steamboat's best eaten at home, as you can choose the type and quality of ingredient you want. However, it may end up being more expensive than the ones in the restaurant.

  7. RM15.00 for the tomyam soup is a bit expensive unless the soup is made with authentic ingredients not those from the packet seasoning.
