Early Birds At Capital Celup Satay, Malacca

SINCE TIME IS QUITE LIMITED, the next itinerary after checking in is to check out another place in town.  Much have been heard and seen about the Celup Satay in Malacca but I had not tasted nor been to any shop before.  Was told that the shop only opens around 5pm and since we wanted to be the "early birds", we arrived half an hour earlier before it opened...

The "Early Birds" syndrome...
Next to the 5C or 5D Art Gallery...
Soon after it opened, most of the tables were taken up....
And we can "take-what-we-like" from here...
If I remember correctly, one stick is RM1...
Choices were aplenty...
Our first round and after that... countless sticks...
A pot of sauce was put in the middle of the table....
We requested for extra peanuts to be put inside...
Then when it was boiling hot, we put our sticks in...
Actually this is quite similar to the ones we have eaten in Ipoh and Penang...
Only difference is that the middle pot is not hot sauce but plain boiling water...
So this is Celup Satay.....
Now I know why my son told us to be there early to beat the crowd...
As usual... while waiting for the sauce to boil... and boil......

  2. That is a bit pot of sauce. I wonder do they recycle the sauce if a lot was left behind.
