Friday's Close Work Lunch At Kim Wah Restaurant, Ipoh

CLOSE SHOP LUNCH IN PROGRESS...

For the past few years we make it a point to meet up to "close work" for the year before ushering in the New Year according to Chinese calendar.  "We" here are the ones working together for the past number of years, now most of us have retired except for a few younger ones left behind.  Now we retirees has outnumbered the working ones..... sooner or later, in another one or two years time, there will be only one young lady left behind... a lone ranger... while the rest of us are lazing around the house!  LOL...

Today is the day we meet up again... I went to my old office and met up with them.. and off we went to our designation, Kim Wah Restaurant in Farlim.  It was almost 1pm when we reached, Fridays are always jammed up everywhere.. the weather nowadays is flaming hot and other than that, we looked forward to our "Food Gathering" in the cool air con restaurant....
The Ten of Us...
Half retirees, half workers... LOL...
Once a year affair dish!
The Tossing Beginsssss.....

And our dishes.....

Braised Trotters...
Crispy Fried Fish in Thai Sauce...
Claypot Chicken in wine....
Mixed Vege...
Peking Duck...  soft and nice...
Their signature prawns...
Beancurd with minced meat....
Before we left our separate ways, we wish each other  Sun Leen Fai Lok...
Happy Chinese New Year!

  5. Wow.. the food so sumptuous ! I guess in this day and age of the working class, there won’t be so many gatherings of long time colleagues as people moves around as well as on contract work.

  7. It is wonderful that you keep in touch with your ex co-workers! Usually when we move away from friends, we say we will keep in touch. But rarely do. This is a very happy event!!
