It was the 17th night of March when the four of us decided to have our last dinner together before the lockdown. We went to Yeolde English in Ipoh Garden East, this is one of the long lasting coffee house or cafe in Ipoh, maybe around 20 years ago and still surviving till today. It is a good sign already and I hope they will sustain till this movement order is over.
It has been several years since I last went and the thing I remember is that their portions are quite huge and yet reasonable prices. They have Asian and Western food cuisine and on this particular night, the four of us chose Western food. Their prices are still very reasonable, all less than RM20 and as usual, I could not finish my large portion of dinner.
Grilled Fish with sides....
Hawaiian Chicken...
Smoked Duck Aglio Olio...
And my Chicken Chop Aglio Olio....
Big portions, aren't they!
I wonder when we could have the get-together-dinner again!
Authentic English? No traditional English fish & chips? If ever I get to go to Ipoh, this is one place that I would love to go to! Yum yummmm!!!!
ReplyDeletewah big portion! must bring a container along when plan to dine there.
ReplyDeleteI like the food too. We will just have to be patient and hope it will be opened for business as usual.
ReplyDeleteVery big portion. All looked good, hard to choose what I like.
ReplyDeleteBig portion! Food looks good! So heavy meal for dinner. I would go for the smoked duck! Soon, very soon, you all can go eat and sit one person one table, 3 feet away from another table. lolx!
ReplyDeleteI have been there many years ago and have forgotten about this place. It is good to hear that they are still around because their food is good with generous portions.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks delicious. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very wonderful looking meal, suitable for your last one before quarantine.
ReplyDeletePortion is big and food looks good. My last dine in was at a vegetarian restaurant. I miss dining out. I thought now dining in is allowed with max three persons at a table?
