Bak Kut Teh At Hin Hock, Tampoi, Johor

NEW BED...  I did not sleep well on the first night, different environment, different pillow, different bed...... I was up at 5.30am, I could hear my friends who were sleeping next door, they were awake too.  Perhaps like me, they could not sleep much.  Since the 3 of us were already up, we decided to go for a walk around the vicinity.

The dawn was breaking by the time we walked out of our little nest.  Nice cooling breeze in the morning, we strolled along the road leading to the shops.  We took a long walk, almost an hour by the time we reached home.  While waiting for my son to get up, we took fruits and pineapple tarts as "foundation" .... Our itinerary only started at 10am and we went to Hin Hock Bak Kut Teh in Tampoi for our first meal of the day.

What is hidden beneath this pot of Bak Kut Teh?
Pork ribs, meat and fried beancurd....
Braised pork knuckles....
Steamed Red Snapper....
And Nai Bak greens....
We ordered two bowls of yam rice and two bowls of white rice for the 5 of us....
The whole meal cost around RM129...
Good deal?
After this meal, we were on our own.... with our Waze!

  1. Jalan Jalan Cari makan! You walk out of your condo garden so early in the morning? Food looks good. I am game for any kind of food because I just want to taste a bit of everything.

  3. I want!!! I also usually would have hard time sleeping when on travelling. First few nights would be tough for me to doze off.

  5. I will eat the lean meat of the braised pork knuckles. Now you made me craving for bkt. The fried beancurd sheets soaked in soup will taste soft and delicious too.
