A Short Vacation At Rasa Sayang Hotel, Penang

TROPICAL HOLIDAY... and it started with one of my friends informing us that she was going for a short staycation in Penang.  She would be staying three nights in Rasa Sayang hotel for a price of two nights.  It was a promotion then and after hearing that, we "succumbed" to going there as well.  LOL...  We quickly called up to ask more about the promotion and straightaway we booked the three nights stay as well.

Few days later prior to the booking, we found ourselves having a short vacation with my kids and my grandson.  The cost of the three nights stay came to around RM1600 with breakfast included.

It was supposed to be a family room...
After checking in, we found out something...
The bathroom had a fishy kind of smell...
Straightaway my son went down to the reception to inform them....
And since there was no more family room available, 
they promoted the room to a suite!
The room has a big bedroom and a living hall as well...
Beautiful... and cosy...

We had buffet on one evening...
And the rest of the time was spent mostly 
around the vicinity of the area....
besides going to town for good food, of course.. 
LOL....

    Thanks for the photos. The big tree is magnificent. Good that your grandson is here to visit you from USA or are they moving back for good? Either way, what a joy to have them around. enjoy!

    Very very old hotel! I think it first opened when I first went to Penang at the end of 1973 - so big, so beautiful, second to none at the time! Not a good place to stay unless you have your own transport - the taxi fares will kill you! Your kids and your grandson? They came back from the US? Must be missing you a lot! LOL!!!
