When I was there in May, we went to Loon Sing to celebrate a special birthday. My son managed to get a private room with facilities like Karaoke but we did not use it at all that night. With my two "cucu-s" grandkids around, all we could hear was either their shouts of laughter and whining throughout the dinner. Lots of running around the table, chasing one another and feeling restless when put onto their chairs. Those were what my grandkids did after their tummies are satisfied...
For a RM700 dinner, we were served these.... but first, the Musang Cake! It was really rich with durian flesh in betweens....
Small cake just enough for the adults...
Hock chew fried noodles....
Claypot filled sea cucumber, mushrooms, abalone, tendons... among others....
Chicken in yellow wine....
Mixed vegetables...
Their signature charcoal beancurds....
Iberico ribs....
I think I left out two dishes pictures....
And desserts, for sure....
And our private room for the night....
That's a very nice place. Two cucus??? Andy's? Aaron's is in the states, right? Or have they moved back to Malaysia? Can't possibly be your girl's - she just got married. Hock Chew fried noodles sure do not look like ours here.
ReplyDeleteRM700 a table? Must be the Iberico ribs - they sure do not come cheap. I hosted a dinner here the other night, around RM500-600 only, with a dish of ribs too but no Iberico ribs.
