Meraki For Tea and Nyonya Breeze For Dinner

ON A DAY OUTING TO ISLAND PLAZA which I had not been to explore before, we went up to the first floor to walk around.  We came across one shop which fascinated us to stop there for quite a while. 

On the glass display were a collection of green jades, ranging from bracelets, ear-rings, pendants... well, that sure attracted us ladies!  

Besides selling what the ladies love, this elderly couple also have a lot of other antiques as well, and being seniors ourselves, we were sort of engrossed by most of the stuff they have.  Unfortunately I did not take any pictures, not sure they allow me to, anyway... with these jewelry, I don't think it is ethical to take pictures.  LOL....

I almost... almost ended up buying a bracelet (14K gold) with 5 or 6 tiny love like jades hanging to it.  I nearly did, it was luring me to take it home.. LOL... it cost RM1,000 and I managed to shake off the temptation eventually!  No regrets... now come to think of it, it makes me wonder who has actually worn that before... hmmmm..... It is good to have friends who really make us hesitate instead buying irrationally.... LOL.....

An evening walk at Straits Quay after a scrumptious dinner at Nyonya Breeze restaurant...

We were quite greedy for these Nyonya dishes....

Nasi Ulam, petai with prawns, Ju Hu Char, braised pork 

and two types of soup.... 

Plus a bowl of Pisang Pengat to share....

(Banana, sweet potato in thick coconut milk)

The bill came to around RM120...

Food is nice here and I would like to come for them again!
