Just nice for me to clean up the house and get it ready to "welcome" them as they had welcomed me into their home. That explained why I had kind of "abandoned" this blog for quite some time. I was practically springing from one place to another. Not wise for my age but then.....
After settling down for a few days in KL, we made a short trip to Malacca, it was just two hours plus away from my brother's house. We booked one night at an Air BnB, by the name of Ong Kim Wee Residence, a two rooms furnished apartment for RM300. Definitely much cheaper than staying in a few stars hotel. :)
Malacca.... what did we do? Did a lot of walking and of course eating as well. I did not take much pictures of the food, I wonder what I was thinking then. So this post will be filled with humans wannabe models instead of the yummy food.... LOL....

It has been years since the last time I went to Melaka. The river used to be so dirty long ago, and so smelly too until they did something about it. It does not look as clean as the Singapore River though - that river was the same before, dirty and smelly but they did something about it too.

ReplyDeleteSo your sister and BIL came to your "kawasan" and your turn to play host. My parents stayed in Malacca which was my dad's last posting before he retired. I visited a few times and visited the A Famosa and was so surprised it was just a miserable "pintu gerbang". Not what I imagined when I studied sejarah LOL!
