My kids might not be here with me this year, nonetheless, they sent gifts from afar. I am thankful for that. As parents, we must know how to reciprocate wisely. Don't ever say, "Aiyah, don't spend this kind of money la... keep the money for your own use" or "the food is not worth the price, next time don't waste your money.... " These words are taboo to us parents now. From then on, presents, gifts, treats will not come anymore.... LOL.... my two cents as a mother to three grown up kids who are now independent and having their own families now.
And so... on Christmas evening, both of us oldies were here having a nice, quiet Christmas dinner at Palm Court. Our first time dining there and I googled about it before going there. Attire is smart casual, no round shirt collar for men, no slippers nor sandals, no shorts... and suddenly it came to my mind about the attire for government office these days.... LOL...
Once seated, this was laid on the table....
Followed by Roasted Pumpkin Pottage....
I had Turkey Breast Piccatta...
And my dear one had Pan seared Norwegian Salmon Loin...
Christmas Pudding as desserts...
served with Brandy creme...
Followed by Latte....
And that was my Christmas dinner on Christmas Day....
Wishing all of you have Wonderful Days ahead
and for the Coming New Year 2024!!
Fine dining, with a touch of class. Appreciate it, for all you did for them through the years. Be thankful that they appreciate it all - many take it for granted, so sad. A Blessed 2024 to you and all loved ones. By the way, who's your "dear one"? Ehem! Ehem!!
ReplyDeleteWah, food is so tasty but the company is even better!
ReplyDeleteMemang betul! When your children give money, gifts or treats, just show appreciation and this will give them a lot of joy and satisfaction. That was a really grand treat, makan besar!
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely Christmas dinner. Classy and festive. I also posted my Christmas eve dinner just now.
